4 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari and Lake Bunyonyi offers an ideal opportunity for a brief gorilla trek in Uganda, along with an excursion. This safari offers you the opportunity to engage in Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi, as well as birding and canoeing along the scenic views of Lake Bunyonyi.

4-Day Bwindi Trip Day 1: Transportation to Lake Bunyonyi.

Following breakfast, on the first day of 4 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari and Lake Bunyonyi, you will depart from Kampala and proceed to Lake Bunyonyi, located in the Kabale area, sometimes described as the Switzerland of Africa. During your journey, you will make a halt at the Equator to take photographs and also get the opportunity to observe the region that divides the Southern and Northern Hemispheres.

4 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari and Lake Bunyonyi

Make an additional stop in Mbarara town to have lunch. Afterward, proceed to Lake Bunyonyi, which is the most profound lake in Uganda and located on the borders of Uganda and Rwanda. Under clear weather conditions, one may observe the awe-inspiring volcano known as Mount Muhavura. Enjoy a delightful dinner and spend the night at the Bunyonyi Overland Resort.

On the second day, there will be a canoe ride followed by a transfer to Bwindi National Park.

Following breakfast, on day 2 of 4 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari and Lake Bunyonyi, you will embark on a hired canoe and navigate the surrounding area from the water’s surface while actively seeking various avian species on the 37 Islands of the lake. Afterwards, you will head back to the Lodge to have lunch. In the afternoon, you will be transported to Bwindi Forest National Park, which is recognized as one of the world’s Heritage sites and is renowned for its gorilla trekking activities. Enjoy an evening meal and spend the night at Wagtail Eco Safari Camp.

On the third day, we will engage in the activity of tracking mountain gorillas in Bwindi.

On the day 3 of 4 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari and Lake Bunyonyi, Following breakfast, in the early morning, you will attend a briefing conducted by the Uganda Wildlife Authority regarding the Gorilla activity. You will receive a comprehensive guidebook that will instruct you on proper conduct when in the presence of or in close proximity to Gorillas in the jungle. The Bwindi Rainforest is characterized by its breathtaking and densely forested terrain, with steep slopes and a multitude of animal pathways that provide tourists with the opportunity to observe Gorillas.

In addition to Mountain Gorillas, the forest is home to other mammal species such as the elusive golden monkey, buffaloes, elephants, black-fronted duiker, bushbuck, leopard, giant forest hog, and a diverse array of bird species. Remember to bring your packed lunch and water since the duration of the Gorilla sighting can vary depending on the Gorillas’ movements. The encounter with the Gorillas was incredibly thrilling and indelible. Return to your resort for refreshments and other amenities. Enjoy an evening meal and spend the night at Wagtail Eco Safari Camp.

On the fourth day, we will go back to Kampala.

Following an early morning meal, you will proceed to return to Kampala, taking a brief pause in Mbarara town to have lunch this ,mars the end of our 4 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari and Lake Bunyonyi

Please note that this itinerary can be modified to allow you to first follow gorillas and then visit Lake Bunyonyi last.
