Uganda wildlife  Education center ( Zoo )

A drive to the zoo from Kampala takes only 40 minutes. This  activity is fun for both the old and young. It sits  on the shores of Lake Victoria, the world’s second largest freshwater lake. All the wildlife found in Uganda is collected in one place and the zoo animals like Lions, Uganda Kob, Zebras, Giraffe and the rarely seen Leopard one of the big five among others. Uganda Martyrs shrine 

This shrine  is  Uganda’s exclusive faith tourism site found nowhere else in the world,  Is a must visit when you step foot in kampala. Is Namugongo, east of Kampala where most of  the Martyrs were  burnt at the stake.The Uganda Martyrs shrine is a master center piece that was constructed as a dedication  to the Uganda Martyrs who died for disobeying the king’s orders to denounce  christianity. Today  every 3rd june , a public holiday, Uganda and the rest of the  christian world commemorate the uganda Martyrs. 45 martyrs were hacked to death by the guards of kabaka mwanga ll of Buganda.

 St Paul’s Cathedral also known as the Namirembe cathedral because it is located on the namirembe hill  is an Anglican church of Uganda and the oldest cathedral in Uganda, built in the 1890 with  four different versions of it  some were destroyed by fire.the standing building today was built in 1915 and 1919, it debatable has the largest pipe organ piano in Uganda.

Makerere University

Makerere university is the largest and oldest institution of higher education, first established as a technical school in 1922 and became an independent national university in 1970.the  university is the best in uganda and the 4th in Africa,  Great leaders like Julius Nyerer,  Joseph Kabira were groomed  by the university. Makerere has many old buildings since the 1920’s like the main building commonly known as the Ivory Tower.
